About

Up Pup is a new company based in a 100% solar-powered house in Sharon, Vermont.  Our mission is simple: to provide affordable clothing that expresses your love for dogs and yoga. We aim to provide clothing that is fun, colorful, comfortable and comes from companies that demonstrate ethical workplace practices. Our future goals include providing more options for organic cotton and bamboo fabric and to offer more designs, styles and colors.

The name Up Pup is derived from the yoga posture Upward Facing Dog (up dog) or Urdhva Mukha Svanasana. We love the way dogs naturally do this position and other stretches through out the day and night.

Up Pup donates 1% of our proceeds to organizations that support women, girls and dogs.

Our blog will be a place we post our thoughts about yoga, dogs and life.  While we want to keep you informed of new products and hear from you about what you’d like us to carry, we’d also like to hold a conversation–or at least prompt some thought–about the rest of life as well.

So check back here for conversations on what we’re working on in yoga, what’s coming up in life, and what products you may see from us soon.

Thanks for reading!

My personal choice would be “women, girls, and cats” but — O well: it’s your life and your blog. Very lovely work Sharon, and I think it is really cool to see you and your granny and your child. Take care.
